AGU on Inteligent Design

The most sensible thing on this topic I heard lately is the official statement released by the American Geophysical Union. From the statement:

"Scientific theories, like evolution, relativity and plate tectonics, are based on hypotheses that have survived extensive testing and repeated verification," Spilhaus says. "The President has unfortunately confused the difference between science and belief. It is essential that students understand that a scientific theory is not a belief, hunch, or untested hypothesis."

Damn straight! I couldn't said it better. It's not the first time Dubya gets confused about stuff that's beyond his comprehension - like all them internets for example.

Btw, if they start teaching ID in schools I move to also include the Flying Spagetti Monster theory in the curriculum as well!
